Date for Paul McCartney concert at White House announced
President Barack Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, will host a concert in the East Room of the White House honoring Paul McCartney, the third recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress on June 2, it was announced Monday.
The concert will be taped for broadcast on PBS stations nationwide on July 28 at 8 p.m. EDT (check local listings as air times on PBS vary) as “In Performance at the White House Celebrating the Music of Paul McCartney: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize.”
